Is It A War On HOMELESSNESS Or The HOMELESS?

As of late, I have been seeing more videos of people interviewing the homeless, and getting their reaction to some of the recent measures that have taken place over the last few years. This is not a plot to point fingers at one party in particular, as both are guilty of the continued decline in resources and opportunities to help those in need find and achieve solutions to help them get back on their feet. But we should take a deeper and more honest look at these issues, as several key factors should be addressed, regardless of which party you voted for.

1. WHY ARE THEY HOMELESS?

One of the most frustrating points in this conversation is trying to determine why people are homeless in the first place. One reason would be a decline in the ability to earn enough money to afford the cost of basic living needs. As a recipient of disability stipends myself, I am seeing firsthand this playing out. Every couple of months, my disability continuously gets cut, while the cost of living goes up. 6 years ago, my check would cover the rent, and nothing else. For the first 6 years of my marriage, we were homeless, bouncing around from couch to couch, sleeping in our vehicle, taking a job at a traveling carnival just so we had something over our heads at night. There are people out there who made some mistakes that resulted in having FELONIES on their records, making it even more difficult to get a job and make ends meet. Is it any wonder that many of those with felonies end up being repeat offenders? I am not justifying bad behavior, I am only saying that we often forget that the environment can play a role in many of these lives, and from time to time, the only choice one may have is STEAL AND EAT, or DON’T STEAL AND STARVE. Of course, people will say, “Well, there are programs for people to get help”, which is true, but they are only available for VERY narrow demographics. So once these people get felonies on their records, their abilities to get a decent job to “integrate into society” become that much harder.

But lately we have been seeing a trend that is growing at an alarming rate, and that is the homelessness that stems from laziness or the idea that society (their elected officials) will cater to their every need, ESPECIALLY in cities that have open-air drug markets. These cities are starting to see a rise in people passing out in the streets with needles still in their limbs, people ODing in broad daylight, and children walking down streets with needles left out that have been used by people who MAY or MAY NOT be carriers of a bloodborne pathogen. These cities are asking for more money to pump into care facilities and needle exchanges to “provide a CLEAN and SAFE place for people to use.” In other words, they want more money to create the largest prison where people are encouraged to commit one of the slowest suicides imaginable, and they want YOU  to pay for it. The drug problem has been a fast-growing factor in the homeless crisis, and the politicians are NOT doing ANYTHING to fix it.

2. WHY IS THE GOVERNMENT FUNDING HOMELESSNESS AND NOT FIXING IT?

Regardless of which party you voted for, this is something that EVERYONE should be looking into and asking, ‘Why is nothing being done?’ But the elected officials would rather have you hate everyone else instead of them, a population that hates itself is a population that can be manipulated into doing anything… and I MEAN ANYTHING! With all the money that is collected in taxes (personal, wages, sales, property, etc.), there is more than enough money to fix the bulk of the issues that play into the homeless crisis. But for some reason, the government feels that it needs to have WAY TOO many employees who get paid WAY TOO much to do WAY TOO little, leaving LESS money to go where it is needed. A shocking example of this is the DOGE audits. More people are mad that a successful billionaire and a Republican president are spearheading a move that SHOULD have been taking place this WHOLE time, than they are about the fact that fraud and wasteful spending have been occurring for this long in the first place. And now, states are starting to implement bills and laws that cause harm to those who have become victims of bad leadership and decisions. In essence, this is how it is playing out…

“We politicians are going to make it harder for you to survive, and if you become homeless because of OUR inability to provide a stable society for you to even have the very basic needs met, we will take everything you own, put you on the streets. We will give you chump change, and drugs, and when you have reached your absolute worst, we will punish or arrest you, effectively ending ANY chance of ever having a stable life. But don’t worry, we are gonna charge the hell out of everyone else, and pocket the majority of that money.”

CONCLUSION

With the DOGE audit, it has claimed to have saved ROUGHLY 160 billion dollars. The current estimate to have a massive impact on the homeless crisis is believed to be about 30 billion dollars. Will we see any of the DOGE savings go to the homeless crisis? Or will we see the elected officials (BOTH Republicans AND Democrats) continue to wage a war on the victims they help create? Which leads me to ask…

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

Are you going to continue playing this sick game by the people we put into office? Are you going to continue to rage about the fact that not everyone agrees with you? Are you going to pander to the Mainstream Media and Social Media propaganda to drive the wedge of HATE and DIVISION even further?

Or…

Are you going to get your heads out of your asses and call out the elected officials that have turned people against one another to gain votes, followers, subscribers, and every other irrelevant number?

So instead of crying about the system that YOU allowed to take hold, how about you actually STOP VOTING for the status quo, and remind the politicians where the real power lies, and whats REALLY important?

But I guess that will mess with your social algorithm, so you go ahead and live with your delusions, boo-boo!
